The Richardson Highway - the only way. by land, to get to and leave Valdez. It's a beautiful drive and in surprisingly good shape.
We thought we'd take another chance at seeing bears, but no such luck. The salmon, however are plentiful.
The seagulls are extremely tame - for seagulls.
They are fun to watch - they congregate on the rocks then
get in the water, float down to the salmon gate, fly back and do it all over again. Maybe they're looking for food? or maybe just having fun.
When we got home from our non-bear sighting Reggie was outside. Poor guy, he is so starved for affection right now that anyone will do! we stayed outside and petted him for awhile.

We didn't get down to the dock, but it was beautiful moon viewing nonetheless.
