"Morning Mountain" report, July 25, 2011
(only thing different is that the house is not painted.
It reminds me of one of those "How Many Differences Can You Count?" pictures.
Last evening.
This is one of the two busiest intersections in Valdez.
It was Jeff's 1/2 day yesterday so we went on, what may be, our last bike ride in Valdez.
So many of the streams have the beautiful green color from the glaciers.
Prince William Sound in the distance.
We biked up Blueberry Hill - there really are blueberries - or will be, they're not ready yet.
After that vigorous workout, we biked to 'The Fat Mermaid',
our favorite drinking, people watching with a beautiful view spot.
One of the Valdez bunnies - "love 'em or hate 'em"- was sunning next door,
We biked through one of the RV parks on our way home. This family is ready for anything!
It's hard to see, but there are regular bikes there, too.
We noticed an RV with North Carolina plates so we stopped to chat. They're "full-timers" but their kids live in North Carolina. They left NC April 28th, are going from Alaska to Maine for a while and then Florida for the winter. They love the nomad life.
