Yes, those are raindrops on the window.

Here's a sunnier report - Bren's robins
The parents are always nearby.

They're getting so big - just a little head fluff left

Hard to imagine the Mom can fit in there too! Fledging can't be far in the future.

Yesterday afternoon we went to a potluck picnic at one of (and the best!) local RV parks. The owners, Judy and Everett Bartlett, hosted the party. Most of the people in the photos are "full timers",  meaning they live in their RV's year round. Many winter in the southwest and summer here, or traveling around Alaska and Canada. Their adventures (including breakdowns!) are fascinating to hear. To the person they love this lifestyle - some have been 'mobile' for over 20 years. When they leave Valdez at the end of the summer, several of them are heading to the Dakotas to pick beets for three weeks! Well, actually, they're sorting, traffic controlling, cleaning trucks, not picking. The hours are long but the RV hook-ups are free, and the pay is pretty good for 3 weeks.

Their house - it was literally built by Everett, Judy and their friends at the RV park - every single bit of it. Everett is now finishing the inside. This house will withstand snow and earthquakes.

Judy & the other Sherry cooking salmon, halibut, cod and flounder.

You can see how Everett is finishing the ceiling.

Lots and lots and lots of food!

The man in blue is fish filleter extraoridnaire, Patrick. His personal best season was 2008 when he filleted 31, 728 fish. He single day record was 2013 fish. He donates much of his filleting money to Breast Cancer research. So far he has donated over $75,000! This week I'm going to film him at work - I think. After the party he and his wife were going camping - to fish!
