Friday June 21 Seldovia to Homer

We started the day with breakfast at Tidepool Cafe & Bookstore. The topping on the waffle is rhubarb and blueberries - YUM!

Then packing and back to Seldovia airport.

The way to the airport?

The plane was late and when it got to the airport, it had to make another stop to deliver groceries to a restaurant. It also made room for us on the plane. As a result we were able to spend almost an hour at the lovely airport terminal.

Finally the plane arrived, and we're off for Homer.

Our pilot - no comment!

Sadly leaving our pilot and off to find Halcyon Heights -

Hot tub

Our room and my sweet husband who has a very bad cold.
Let's just say the room is cozy.

Juxia & Steve go the extra mile to make everyone feel welcome.

They obviously love plants and take very good care of them.

Their Sheltie, "Jalad"(he), is darling -

Dinner - check out the prices of the King Crab!

This garage near our B & B makes Jeff crazy ...

Note the view out the back of the garage

The cinder block prevents you from driving onto the roof! Not a joke.

To bed again - Whittier tomorrow and back to Valdez on Monday.

  2. The $49 was for the appetizer crab legs - nothing else. It was fantastic, though. It's the first of the season and fresh, not previously frozen.

    1. If it was that GOOD then it was worth it. What a great experience.
