"Morning Mountain" report - June 15 - photo taken at 9:00 AM

For the second Friday in a row we were invited to The Elk's Lodge for their steak dinner. We didn't know that June 14th is Flag Day which commemorates the adoption of the flag of the United States by the Second Congregational Congress. It is also the day celebrated as the birthday of the Army. During dinner we were invited to join the Elk's celebration of Flag Day.

Here's a short excerpt from the much longer program.

As they say in Alaska, "the odds are good, but the goods are odd".

Because we are "equal opportunity eaters" we had breakfast this morning at the the Masonic Lodge. Great pancakes.

We decided to 'walk off' breakfast down at the dock - it is a beautiful day here - high today to be in the low 80's.

Some cute boat names

Some of the ships look very seaworthy ...
